Geetha Van den Daele combines her knack for collaboration, research, and evaluation in ways to capture and amplify collective learning and insights. Geetha has over 10 years’ experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods, with a special focus on participatory and community based practices. She is a credentialed evaluator and has extensive experience in designing and conducting surveys, interviews, focus groups, and conversations for local, municipal, provincial, and national initiatives.

Geetha is know for her sensitivity, and attention to, working with diverse populations and designing accessible, creative, and inclusive methodologies. She has worked on several evaluations involving youth focused or youth led programs on entrepreneurship, philanthropy, education, and community and social networks. Her most recent contributions working with marginalized youth include designing and implementing youth-friendly and accessible qualitative and  quantitative data collection tools, supporting youth leaders in implementing data collection, exploring and analyzing outcomes for their participation in entrepreneurship programs and community-based, alternative education initiatives (just to name a few)!

 

Deeply committed to her community, Geetha has volunteered on several cross-sector initiatives. She is currently a member of the Equity Committee of the Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition and a Board Director for the Guelph Community Health Centre. She has also served as a mentor for internationally trained immigrants and a women’s economic advancement initiative. She was an active member of the Guelph-Wellington Local Immigration Partnership for over five years, where she supported the development of networks, ideas, and initiatives to make Guelph-Wellington a more inclusive and welcoming community.
