On the edge, just outside or way out…

Living on the edge (or outside!) of your comfort zone, is not always easy. This cliff walk in Vancouver, last year, made me think of how we sometimes need to trust ourselves and the environment around us, and head in the direction we want to go or explore. Even though it may be frightening the first (or second, third, and even fourth time around), move forward in a way that is just outside of your comfort zone. Hold on to the excitement and fear, and remember everyone has different levels of comfort. Move at your own pace, but always try to move forward…

* The conference I attended and presented at was on Facing Forward: Innovation, Reflection, and Action. What a great theme!! All three are necessary to continuously move forward. Our presentation was an interactive workshop where participants engaged in a creative conversation to gain insights and reflections on how they personally view their role as an evaluator, and what does speaking truth to power look like, and feel like, in reality? Crayons, pencil crayons, and markers were involved. = )
